PROCESS OF MAKING CLASSIC BAKED CHEESE CAKE

1.Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan with butter or cooking spray.

2.In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.

3.In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy. You can use an electric mixer or do it by hand.

4.Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Make sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.

5.Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream, and mix until all ingredients are well combined and the batter is smooth.

6.Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.

7. Place the springform pan on a baking sheet and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until the edges are set, and the center is slightly jiggly.

8. Once the cheesecake is done baking, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for about an hour to cool gradually. This helps prevent cracking.

9. After an hour, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate it for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
